In line with our most recent survey of customer needs and requirements for better servicing and sales , CCS are pleased to announce to the coating market an alliance, which will offer a better service advantage to the coatings user.

It will entail Eurospray Ireland, spray equipment specialists, aligning and offering together with CCS, to you the customer, a comprehensive coating and equipment supply link ranging from paint tin to actual spray equipment and from one source! Thus ensuring one phone call meets all your requirements.

To this end, on the 23rd April 2010 the full sales & service team of Complete Coatings Services attended a practical theory session @ the Maldron Hotel in Portlaoise to go thru the generic spray gun type guns available – electric, petrol, air assisted airless.

The theory part (basics for our staff that had no knowledge) covered topics such as:

a) Operating procedures for each type spray gun.

b) Spray tip assembly & selection.

c) Maintenance procedures.

d)Health & Safety procedures for each.

e) How to service and maintain the spray gun.

f) How to match and offer a spray gun that will best match our individual client’s internal application requirements.

g) Main contributing factors of spray gun technical faults – type of problems, main cause & solutions to solve.

The afternoon session included a practical demonstration of each spray gun model at one of our customer facilities; who graciously permitted us to use his facility for a few hours, the practical demonstration (basics for our staff who had no knowledge) covered the following:

a) Setting up for spray painting

b) Health and safety checks.

c) Best spray tip (angle & fan) to suit the paint product & the surface being coated on the day.

d) Getting the paint ready for painting – mix ratio of thinners if required etc.

e) Best practice rules for holding the gun (distance) from the substrate.

f) Wet film checks to ensure compliance with pre-defined paint specification – change tip if necessary etc.

g) Checking pressure to match paint output rates.

h) Practical Spray application principles & techniques.
